First of all, they want to stop rocket attacks and eliminate Hama’s power in Palestine.

It would cause countries, such as Iran, to declare common cause against Islamic militancy.

It would help to start restoration in US.

Iran has alot in stake because they are just over with a war and their country is poor right now so it wouldnt be the smartest thing to get involved into another war, and to lose

Because fighting was emboldening palestinian resistance.

What is happenings in Israel and Gaza?

            After World War II the Plaestine territories was divided. Israel was born, Gaza wasnt pleased with the deal and created a guerrilla against Israel. they kept in war for several years, the UN allways tried to make this countries to stop the fight. But it wasnt until now that israel got sick of the Gaza and they faught back with everything they got.


How many Palestinians and Israels have died?

over 900 Palestines have died and 13 Israels (up to monday)

What are the Hamas?

Hamas is like a Palestine gang that is responsible to the attacks on the Israeles.

What was the U.S. response to the attacks?

they holded their vote on the emergency UN conference, when al of the other countries voted that both bands shoud stop fireing. 


What happend when Israel became independent in 1948?

Afer declaring independent the Palestines were displeased with the deal and they began a guerrilla against Israel.


What did Israel agreed in the Olso accord?

they agreed that everyday they would stop for at leat 2 or 3 hours to let the UN military go in, to let the people go to a hospital, to pick up corps etc.


How did Hamas come to power in Gaza?

in 2006 the hamas took control of most of the Plaestine legistative council.

Israel is located al the left of Jordan, above of Egypt, and below of lebanon

Why was Israel created?
Israel declared his independence a few years later after the World War II. they had some problems with other states because they didnt agree in the ONU's plan, that was followed by the Isrealian war in 1948. after a series batles won it reafrimed their independence.

earthquake in Costa Rica

when: 8/1/09
why: all around the world earthquakes have been ocurring because of the tectonic plates.
what: a 6,2 earthquake ocurred in the Epi Centro yesterday. For now there is only news of 14 people dead, other 50 missing and over 2000 injured. the USA goberment is sending helicopters to search and rescue the people trapped on the buildings. the Costa Rican helicopters can operate over the mountains.
